Client Advisor, Wealth Management

DEPARTMENT: Wealth Management
LOCATION: Minnetonka, MN
REPORTS TO: Managing Partner, Wealth Management

To provide the best client experience for our high-net worth clients, we are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter to be a trusted advisor to clients along with the Managing Partner. This person will advise and respond to the client regarding all aspects of their financial situation. This role is client facing and requires the ability to interact with affluent clients regarding highly confidential and time sensitive matters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted partner to clients and prospects regarding all aspects of their complex financial preferences and overall wealth to deliver a comprehensive experience.
  • Be the point person for the clients regarding outside strategic relationships to handle all aspects of tax, estate, insurance and investment planning providing an integrated client experience.
  • Own the client meeting preparation process using multiple system to gather and compile relevant information to present in a best-in-class deliverable.
  • Oversee client CRM system by inputting tasks and following through with internal and external parties until final completion.
  • Execute trades and transfers on client’s behalf.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy when inputting data into various financial software platforms.
  • Ensure compliance, quality of advice and excellent customer support.
  • Maintain composure and confidentiality while exercising appropriate social acumen.
  • Perform all other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • In depth knowledge of one or two of the following areas: investments, tax, estate planning, trust and wealth transfer, risk management and a general understanding of the other areas
  • Series 6, 7, 63, 65, or 66 preferred
  • CFP, CPA, CFA, or JD a significant plus
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • Ability to utilize multiple web-based analytics and reporting tools simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced, high-performance work environment
  • Ability to independently perform assigned accountabilities, set priorities, and successfully handles multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent listening and organizational skills

Client Consultant, Employee Benefits

DEPARTMENT: Employee Benefits (Large Group)
LOCATION: Minnetonka, MN
REPORTS TO: Director of Employee Benefits

Due to our continued growth we are adding an additional Client Consultant to our Employee Benefits team! This position is the strategic thought leader working along with our large group clients to ensure they are providing employee benefits that align with their business objectives. This includes proactive coordination and communication of services, enhancements, and administration for our large self-funded clients benefit programs. The Client Consultant has ultimate responsibility for the block of business and the established client relationships including all aspects of designing, implementing and managing the employee benefits (medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and voluntary/worksite benefits). It’s an exciting opportunity to have ownership in helping business leadership realize the value and impact their employee benefits have on their team.


  • Maintain client relationships and business retention with Manager, Director and C-level business leaders.
  • Listen to understand client’s needs, then propose effective and appropriate solutions that match their employee benefits philosophy.
  • Understand and be able to articulate employee benefit trends and legislation within the market place to varying audiences.
  • Proactively conduct client reviews and maintain quarterly to annual meeting regimen as determined by client size and complexity in order to ensure appropriate plans for each given client.
  • Maintain and document a working knowledge of the clients’ business goals and benefit objectives along with unique solutions and ideas for each client.
  • Establish and maintain a productive working relationship with internal service team to ensure client needs are satisfied.
  • Develop and conduct educational presentations for clients and participants.
  • Coordinate and deliver renewals, industry trends and regulatory information to clients.
  • Maintain and ensure appropriate service based on current service agreements with all clients.


  • At least seven years of in-depth working knowledge of employee benefit plans, with demonstrated knowledge of fully insured and self-funded plans. Including at least four years of demonstrated relationship management skills through face to face client management responsibilities.
  • Excellent client relationship building and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop a relationship with mid and senior management.
  • Excellent listening and organizational skills.
  • In depth ability to analyze data and make suggestions based on the data.
  • Ability to independently perform assigned accountabilities simultaneously, set priorities, and successfully handles multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
